Liminality is a state of transition in which the usual boundaries of space and time disappear. This term, developed by anthropologist Victor Turner, describes a moment where nothing fixed exists, only a transition from one state to another. In this state, perception becomes uncertain: the past dissolves, the future has not yet arrived, and the present is blurred.
The works in this series explore not space itself, but its absence — a point where forms and images blend, creating a sense of a transitional state. The photographs emphasize form rather than substance, intensifying abstraction.
The series conveys not the static nature of the moment but it’s variability. It is a constant blending of states, where it is impossible to capture the present, but it can be felt as a process of transition.
